Directions: After you have read the life cycle of animals chapter in your Science textbooks with your partner/group, you will use this information to create a Venn diagram to compare and contrast the life cycles of a cat and human. You will also create a cat life cycle graphic organizer by using Microsoft Word.
To create a Venn diagram in Microsoft Word:
- On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click SmartArt.
- In the Choose a SmartArt Graphic gallery, click Relationship, click a Venn diagram layout (such as Basic Venn), and then click OK.
- To enter text to define a circle, do one of the following:
- Click [Text] in the Text pane, and then type your text.
- Copy text from another location or program, click [Text] in the Text pane, and then paste your text.
- NOTE: If the Text pane is not visible, click the control.
- You can always delete or add a circle.
Here, is a model of what is expected below:
Next, you will create a life cycle diagram. Don't worry. It's easy! It's just like the Venn Diagram but you will choose "Cycle" on the left panel and choose "radial cycle" or you can choose the "text cycle" format. You will type in each stage of the life cycle in the correct sequential order. Below is a model to help you get an idea of what is expected.
